Listen here, sunshine. You’re usually as generous as a politician with someone else’s money, but today, it’s time to spend a bit of that hard-earned dosh on yourself. Don’t get your knickers in a twist, I’m not suggesting you buy a small island or anything. Maybe just treat yourself to a day at the spa, where they’ll pamper you like a cat that’s won the lottery. Or pop in to see a beauty therapist, who’ll work on your face like it’s a Picasso in need of restoration. Or buy that thing you’ve been eyeing up for ages, you know, the one that’s been making you drool like a bulldog in a butcher’s shop. You’ve worked your socks off, mate, you deserve a bit of spoiling, even if it’s only you doing the spoiling! Your lucky phrase for the day: ‘Penny for your thoughts’. And for God’s sake, don’t actually start handing out pennies, you’ll look like a right muppet. Just remember that sometimes, your own insight is worth more than a cheap bit of copper.
