Kind Celebrities
Those spoilt self-centered celebrities are so tiresome, we have heard all we want to about their tantrums their churlishness, their arrogance and nastiness to fans. But there are good celebrities too, folks who would do anything to help someone feel better no matter their fame and fortune, no matter their big buck bank balances. These celebrities make life worth living for they inspire us to do more for others too!
Ellen DeGeneres is a fab lady. She supports The Gentle Barn, a home for abused animals. She also created the Small Change Foundation to help feed the starving in the US, and she is known to donate money to the Red Cross on a regular basis. That sweet smile of hers is definitely genuine.
Daniel Radcliffe has grown up into a really good chappie. He does everything he can to talk down homophobia and also promotes organisations like the Lupus Foundation of American. He backs the Trevor Project to boot, which gives support to suicidal teens. He might be diminutive but he gives back big time!
Lady Gaga inspires bravery in young gays with the “Born This Way” Foundation. Her assistance to the “It Gets Better Project” is also mega! To boot she coupled with stalwart pal Cindy Lauper to Support the MAC AIDS Fund . Could she be one of those rock and rollers with a saint’s heart?
Cute as a button Matt Damon co-founded a website to help provide clean water to developing countries. He also supports the ONE campaign which is about standing up to AIDS and poverty in third world countries. Super dad, smiling husband, and great actor he is one of the world’s most popular movie stars, perhaps because he is just nice, the kind of guy you would take home to meet mother over and over again!
Taylor Swift ensures her most avid fans get gifts for Christmas. A generous soul and the fairy on top of many a Christmas tree she spreads sweetness and light wherever she goes.
Christian Bale is known for his bad boy behaviour but apparently he changed overnight when he visited town after the “Dark Knight Rises” Aurora theatre massacre. He popped in on survivors and gave his emotional support with no hesitation and much concern.
George Clooney is well known for his charitable nature. He is also a really nice chap. Whilst celebrating one of his numerous successes n a German restaurant with friends, he walked around the tables apologising for his party’s rowdy behaviour. Everybody loved it, and asked him when he was going to win the next Academy Award?
Jennifer Lawrence stood by an unconscious woman lying on the pavement. Jen came across her as she was taking her dog for a walk. She called 911 and did not leave the woman’s side until she was safely inside an ambulance. Many people know that Jen is a nice girl but perhaps she is more than that, perhaps she is selfless and dedicated too!
Russell Brand might act a bit wacky and irresponsible most days, but he spends a lot of time helping homeless people by taking them to breakfast. At one point he took a couple for a four star brekkie. Now that is five star behaviour Russ!
When Zac Ephron was chased for an autograph the fan dropped his phone, so Super Zac bought him a new one. Zac later said ” his is what I love about my fans – when they get excited, the guy actually smashed his phone while chasing me for a snapchat – that’s dedication!” Well your good hearted reaction to that fan is dedicated kindness too Zac!
Simon Cowell was so moved by a little boy’s fight to survive cancer that he gave him £25,000 for treatment. He even flew the boy to the USA to see a specialist! Simon is known to contribute to many children’s and animal charities. He is essentially a good bloke who is known to love climbing trees.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West gave away shoes to support the Soles4Souls charity. Apparently Kim had just watched a documentary about the charity that supplies shoes to the needy. She decided to help so donated 1000 of her own. Nice work Kim!
Tough rapper Eminem visited a dying fan to fulfil his last wish. The boy had been given one week to live, so an Eminem visit was organized toute suite. Eminen acted low key when he called on the family in Michigan, and spent two hours with them. Good Work Em! You are finally getting it!
Miley Cyrus was all smiles on her very special date with a young and handsome homeless man. She took him to the ‘Wrecking Ball’ in an attempt to draw attention to the dire situation many live through on our streets. A milestone for Miley!
Perhaps the “mother of kind celebrities” is Scarlett Johansson. The gorgeous star worked as an Oxfam ambassador, visiting healthcare projects and domestic violence centers in India. She said “It’s amazing to come home when you see people living in poverty. On one hand you’re thinking, my celebrity life is so surreal, but it’s my work and it helps me bring awareness to Oxfam.” Like Kim Kardashian she is also a supporter of Soles4Souls and has donated 2,000 pairs to the charity. A kind hearted sweetie, not just super-hot!
Gwynnie Paltrow had many an axe to grind when she worked with Scarlett on set, the two could not stand each other. But still Gwynnie is kind hearted in her own way. She serves on the board of the Robin Hood Foundation, a charity that eases poverty in New York City. She is the ambassador for the Saks Fifth Avenue “Key to the Cure”campaign against breast cancer, and donated $75,000 to the Food Bank for New York City. She night have a reputation for being a bit of a gossip, and rub people up the wrong way now and then, but our Gwynnie is a good girl at heart.
Good celebs are out there; perhaps we should try doing a little bit of what they do too!
