There is nothing cool about Jennifer Coolidge; in fact, she could be described as a “hot, hot, hot”, which earthy Virgo types often are. Sexy is an understatement. When this dame walks into a room, the guys, the gals, and the pooch stop what they are doing and gawp. No, she is not raking thin model material and she is by no means young, but she has that special something that ensures she was a hit in American Pie, as the kind of mom her son’s friends lust after. Her famous quote, “I got some scotch, aged 18 years just the way I like it”, hit the bull’s eye when it came to dumb, oversexed, self-indulgent but very hot mamma.

Jennifer, the woman, and the actress are not “putting in a box material”, even astrologically. She told the Guardian, “I take my nail and I dig it deep into my vein in my wrist. I sometimes have these very dark bruises on my wrist. But sometimes, there are people in this lifetime that it doesn’t matter what kind of pain you inflict on yourself; when there’s pressure not to laugh, you do the opposite.”

NEARLY MISSING OUT

Jennifer was so affected by the Pandemic; she nearly did not take on her hit role in White Lotus. She was disturbed by the terrible news stories she was reading; “It felt like the virus was going to win” She had known people who had lost their lives and was not sure humanity would make it through that long dark night.

She told the Guardian, “Acting’s so weird. You can never tell when you’re in the midst of it. What helped is that my character, Tanya [a wealthy woman grieving her mother], had parallels to me personally. I’d been incredibly depressed during the pandemic. I lost my own mother at an early age. A family member passed away during Covid and we couldn’t hold a proper memorial. So I had all that going for me.”

As hilarious as she is, Jennifer Coolridge knows what long dark nights of the soul are about. Why? Because underneath that hot exterior, there beats the heart of a virtuous Virgo.
