NO SHERLOCK HOLMES

The sixty-four-thousand-dollar question is “Who is Denise Welch?” Well, you do not have to be Sherlock Holmes to discover Jacqueline Denise Welch is a talented Coronation Street star, a versatile Gemini actress, celebrity reality show player, TV presenter, a big-hearted charity worker and yes, a freedom fighter!
From a metaphysical point of view, her soul is a mix match of rainbow colours that touch hearts. From a down-to-earth point of view, she is a vivacious looker who speaks her mind as we sit mesmerized, aghast at words we would say ourselves if we had the guts. In fact, Gloria Hunniford had to ask Denise not to “shout at her” in a Loose Women debate about Meghan Markle.

Denise claimed she had always liked Meghan; “To live in a world where she is denigrated so badly every day, even when she was suffering incredible mental health issues with a child, I don’t know how she survives sometimes”.

Her brave words might have struck a chord with Meghan’s fans, yet perhaps they do not know Denise will always stand up for the losing side; it is her modus operandi; she knows what it is like to feel survival might not be an option.

A NORMAL WOMAN

She opened up to Metro in a heart-breaking interview, telling them she once threw herself out of a moving car to stop the pain. She talks about her debilitating mental illness in her book “The Unwelcome Visitor”, a bid to help others overcome depression.

The trouble began when her postnatal depression was untreated after giving birth to her son Matty.

She told Loose Women, “‘I had been a perfectly normal blooming woman in pregnancy. My hair was great, my skin was great, I loved it, and I was married to a man I loved. We had a bit of money in the bank…”

To no avail, a demon called depression would almost eat her alive, touching everything she held sacred with darkness.

SO SENSITIVE

Denise’s moon is in empathic Cancer, yet it clashes with her hyperactive Gemini mind, causing conflict and confusion. The water sign ensures she is so sensitive she picks up others’ emotions at 50 meters; when it comes to her loved ones, she knows what they are thinking before they do.

The trouble is Saturn, the downbeat Astro teacher, taps her on the shoulder, hissing, “Denise, you just do not understand, and until you do, I am going to nag you!” darkening her rainbow aura, making her feel despondent about the future. No matter her success, no matter her big warm heart, no matter her beauty and chutzpah, doubts and fears convince her she is of no value to anybody. Her life lesson is to realise she will always be loved and safe.

Yet, who could blame her for doubting this when she went to the doctor and tried to talk about her emotional agony? All the doctor could say was, “Well, I have five children dear and I just didn’t have time to get depressed”.’

A KIND, LOVING HEART

Thank goodness that Denise’s kind, loving heart is influenced by a positive Jupiter in Libra. Mr J ensures harmony always returns, no matter the darkness, no matter the conflict.

To boot, she is held in high esteem by the great British public, who continue to worry about her trials and tribulations, including the danger she was in when a crazed stalker attempted to set fire to her home. She told the Mail the terrifying incident changed her life, causing her such distress she would never be the same again.

The Astro tells us otherwise; whether she is aware of it or not, something divine, something sacred gifted her with a deep faith in life. She will never give up, she will never lose out, and her talent will continue to shine through the darkness. Why? Because she is a Bonafide Star.
