Rubbing shoulders with birds and blokes who think like you do, reckon it’ll do you a world of good, not to mention giving those gutsy ideas of yours a bit of a boost. There’s nought like a friendly bunch of pals to make you chirpier, I always say. And here’s your lucky phrase for the week: “The pen is mightier than the sword”. Bit of an old chestnut, that one, but it might just give you a leg up in the debate club. Plus, it’s a good excuse to buy a fancy new pen, innit? Just remember, don’t take it too literally when you head to the pub quiz – they don’t usually give extra points for calligraphy.
